Day Seven: My Zodiac Sign and If I Think It Fits My Personality
I don't know much about astrology. I used to read my horoscope every day until it started affecting how I approached my day. Then you know you're a little too dependent! Also, according to the Catholic Church, astrology is a no-no because only God knows the future and you shouldn't try figuring it out. This goes all the way back to Adam and Eve and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. People focus way too much on the fact that they're being told not to do something rather than think about why they've been told not to do something. For me, it's about trusting God. "I have engraved you on the palms of my hands" (Is. 49:16). "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose" (Jer. 1:5). In short, I am dear to God and He has big plans for me. A horoscope won't change that.
Aquarius
- Friendly (sure, I'd like to think so)
- Humanitarian (doesn't everyone want to alleviate human suffering somehow?)
- Honest (well I try to be but do little white lies to spare feelings count?)
- Loyal (would any sign say that someone was disloyal?)
- Original (not so much)
- Inventive (not so much)
- Independent (no...)
- Intellectual (sounds good to me!)
- Intractable (why not just say 'stubborn'? Yes, I can be quite stubborn)
- Contrary (same thing as stubborn!)
- Perverse (this can either mean stubborn or corrupt -- yes to stubborn, no to corrupt!)
- Unpredictable (I'm pretty predictable...)
- Unemotional (HA! Don't make me laugh!)
- Detached (The Buddha I am not!)
