Jr. was in a bit of mood yesterday. She whined more than usual and didn't want to be left alone. At one point she was having a tantrum on the floor so I picked her up. Either she was trying to swipe at me because she was angry or she was simply trying to grab my nose but whatever the case, her finger went up my nose and she jabbed it so hard it started bleeding. I had to put her down so I could grab a tissue to staunch the flow! At first she started screaming but when she realized I wasn't simply ignoring her she stopped crying and watched me take tissue after tissue to stop the bleeding! Wow, did it hurt! Once the initial pain subsided it was painful to breathe through my nose; it kind of felt like it does when you get water up your nose with real force. What a story... it's almost funny. Almost.
Last night I went to the church to paint again. This time it was the bottom half of the room in green. I wanted to make it look like grass. At first I tried to draw grass with a thin paintbrush. It was okay but not great. But then I found a new method by accident. I was painting thick smudges along the blue line and then sweeping the brush downward to spread it evenly. I realized that it looked like grass when I did this! So from that point on I did the same thing but swept the brush upward so the grass was growing up, toward the blue. It's not exactly a Rembrandt but it'll do for a nursery! Tonight I go back for the second coat and I think I will also put up the decorations I bought at the dollar store. Exciting stuff!
This happened to me with the Little Mister!! OUCH! I feel your pain!
