Sleep, How I Missed you!

Glorious sleep! Last night we had dinner together as a family, which meant that Jr. didn't go to sleep until 7:30. Before we put her down hubby and I told her we would see her in the morning, after 6am and that we wouldn't come get her before that so there was no point in crying. He told her in French and I told her in English to make sure she understood. She woke up at 5am, which compared to the night before is a huge improvement. I really had to pee and I knew that she would hear me and get even more upset that someone was up but not coming to see her. So I decided to give her a bottle and hope for the best. She fussed for a couple of minutes but I didn't hear from her until quarter after 8! I expected her to wake up after hubby left for work because she always wakes up exactly 10 minutes after he leaves but amazingly she didn't this time. Awesome. Did our "talk" really work? Was it because she stayed up later than usual? We'll never know. I'm sure if we try to replicate last night's schedule it won't have the same effect. I've come to expect that. I'm just trying to appreciate the extra sleep!

By the way, the cable company guy arrived yesterday morning. He was young (i.e. around my age) and friendly. Thank God! 

A shout out to my sister Little Jo who is suffering from gastro. I feel especially bad for her because it's her first and you don't know what to expect exactly and it feels like it's never going to end and you'll be making out with the toilet bowl for the rest of your life. Hang in there!
