Hard to believe it's Monday again. Where do the weekends go?
I am so tired. Lately Jr.'s sleep has taken a turn for the worse. At first it was up once in the night. Then it was up once in the night and awake at the crack of dawn. Then it was up in the night, awake before the crack of dawn and unwilling to go back to sleep. Last night she was up three times, the third time for over an hour. She wakes up crying until it turns into high-pitched screeching. The first time she'll accept her suess, the second time a watered-down bottle but the third time she won't accept anything. So either hubby or myself will take her out of her crib and try rocking her back to sleep. But unbelievably, she never does. She's wide awake. Oh she'll lean against your chest quietly --- for awhile --- and then she'll start talking like it's the middle of the day. Last night after almost 30 minutes of sitting with her I tried to put her back to bed and she clung to me like I was going to drop her over the Grand Canyon. Finally I just put her down and she screamed and screamed. Hubby and I think we'll have to let her cry because there's no way we can do what we did last night every night. I always worry about starting bad habits that will be difficult to break. Besides that we were both exhausted this morning (still am!).
Last week we changed our internet package and were told our modem needed to be replaced. Someone from our telecommunications company is supposed to come today to do that. The last time we had someone come was to put in phone jacks and to see if a phone jack in the kitchen was usable. The guy was so rude and so condescending... he spoke to me like I was an idiot and acted like he would rather be anywhere but here. When I offered him a glass of water he said no and looked at me like I was stupid. By the end of the visit I was almost in tears. Of course once he saw how upset I was he changed completely! What an asshole. So you can imagine how much I'm looking forward to this visit! On top of that we want to ask him if he can drill a hole from the upstairs to the downstairs so that the modem and everything will be in the office rather than Jr.'s room (which used to be the office). Should be fun.
I wish I had Junior's stamina!
