It feels like we used to talk all the time and that I always knew what was going on in your life. I remember speaking with Mom and being able to tell her what you did Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night as well as what was happening in your week (mostly because I was with you!). Now she can probably tell me more than I could tell her. I could blame it on the fact that you've moved away but I think it has more to do with you going back to work and our kids being of different ages. Mom said that the relationship with my siblings would always change and that I would become closer with one sibling than with another but eventually come back to that sibling again. So even though we don't speak very often anymore and even though we don't see each other very often anymore, I know that we'll come back together again.
Let's do coffee soon!
Giggling Sam
Dear Giggling Sam,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Sometimes I wonder where Mom comes up with these sayings and things, and as I grow up and as my kids grow up and I find myself saying the same things, I realize it is because she has been down those roads before.
I sure do you miss you, but I am grateful for the nights we hung out together, for you being so close to me when I was at home with my kids, going for impromtu walks with me, and keeping me sane.
Thanks,
Little Jo
Beautiful!!!!
