Last night hubby and I went to my sister and brother-in-law's house for dinner and a movie. I think it may be awhile before we do it again because we both have kids now that need to be in bed and they're moving to a different area in the near future. When hubby and I were looking for a house we knew we couldn't afford a house on the island of Montreal so off-island was the only choice if we wanted a house. There are many locations to choose from but my sister moved to V-town (better than the Vaudge!) when she got married so we bought a house a 10 minute walk away. We used to go over almost every Friday night for dinner and a movie. Sometimes Saturday too! Put it this way: when Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to Americans) came out in 2001 we saw it together in the theatre and then on DVD when they bought their house. We did this for each movie. Well, we saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (the last movie in the series) in the theatres together in July 2011 and we watched it last night together at their house. I think it's rather fitting that Harry Potter capped our time together as neighbors. We had a lot of good times together and I'm sad that they're leaving. My sister reminded me that they're not moving to the other end of the world! I know that's true but a 20 minute drive compared to a 10 minute walk are not the same! We'll miss you guys!
