Nothing like a power outage to make you appreciate electricity! No lights, no TV, no internet connection, no heat, no fridge, no oven... Last night around 6:30pm (does it have to be around dinnertime??) the power flickered and then went off. Then came on. Then went off. Then came on. Then went off...for 2 hours. Poor Jr. ate Alphaghetti out of the can (not that she seemed to mind, it just looked sad). She wasn't disturbed about the candles everywhere although she did seem a little weirded out when I changed her into her pj's by candlelight. The dinner hubby and I had made was still in the oven and not even close to being ready. So wonderful man that he is, hubby went out to get us some grub. He told me our entire residential neighborhood was dark. As mean as this sounds, I was happy to hear that it wasn't just our street. I hate losing power and seeing the house two streets over with their lights on. The power is so close within your grasp! Misery loves company. Anyhow, while we were eating we decided we would take advantage of the candlelight in the bedroom. But of course, by the time we finished eating the power had come back on. We had fun anyway.
Dear Person I Want to Tell Everything to, But I'm Afraid,
You do not exist. There is only one person I want to tell everything to is my husband and I do tell him everything. My husband is my best friend. There are other people with whom I share things but there is no one person who knows everything and no one person who needs to know everything.
Melissa
I'm glad you had a good time. Sometimes we forget what we did before television/internet!!
