I spoke too soon! The letter I wrote to the editor was published in today's paper. I thought that the business about the public transportation employees was over but I guess they needed to fill some space. Now we wait and see if the letter-writer I wrote about responds to my letter. Or anyone else, for that matter. Ah, writer's remorse.
Our bathroom tiling is complete! We are so happy with the job they did but even happier that it's finished. Unfortunately the work caused a fine dust to settle on almost everything, even though it was restricted to the bathroom. I guess between cutting the tiles and sanding the wall, it was a lot of dust. Everything feels dirty.
But giving Jr. a bath is now a pleasure more than ever. I don't worry about her touching the grubby walls or faucet. When I take photos of her I don't have to angle it 'just so' to cut out the moldy parts from the frame. Great stuff!
This weekend hubby and I don't have anything planned. No one to visit and no "to-do" list. I'm really looking forward to it. It feels like we haven't had a weekend to ourselves since before Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy seeing friends and family but every once in awhile it's nice not having anything to do.
