Happy Monday everyone. I'm feeling a bit more optimistic this morning than I normally would on a Monday. I think it has to do with the gorgeous sun and what looks like the start of a brilliant day. I think summer may be on its way!
Jr and I have a busy week ahead of us. (Well, more me than her. She's just along for the ride.) We have last minute Mother's Day finishing touches to do for starters. Every year without fail I am caught with my pants down when MD approaches. When it's April I think we're still in April so there's no rush. Then it's the first week of May and I think I better get on the MD gifts but no panic, I still have lots of time. Before you know it it's MD weekend coming up. Then I learn my lesson for Father's Day and I'm much more prepared.
We also have M and Little Monster coming over for a play date. This means cleaning the house: bathrooms, floors, vacuuming, etc. I also need to do some grocery shopping to make lunch.
Then there is AD's 28th birthday (yes I wrote it, everyone knows now!), which we are celebrating this weekend with a BBQ. So far (fingers crossed) they are calling for sunny skies and 18. Perfect! So this means a bit more grocery shopping and a bit more cleaning. I also have some awesome decoration ideas that will suit AD to a 'T'.
I'm also helping my dad with a slideshow presentation for his church services. It will be a special slideshow for Mother's Day, which entails much scanning of pictures.
I also need to get to my church to pick up the plaque that was made for the nursery. It reads:
This nursery is dedicated to all mothers and fathers
-- past, present and future.
Hubby will install it for me so it will be ready for the nursery's official opening and dedication next weekend during the Mother's Day Mass. Exciting!

I'm BEYOND pumped for the birthday festivities! 28? I'm turning 27 again!
