I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend! Hopefully most of you are still enjoying your Easter weekend but I know that some people are back at work (Hi Mom!).
Hubby and I were looking forward to this weekend very much. The time off, time spent together and time drinking coffee! Oh yes! We have been drinking copious amounts of caffeine and we are savoring every sip. I think our bodies might go into shock after such a long time without coffee and then suddenly jacking them full of it. If you happen to see us and we're a bit jittery you'll know why.

We gave Jr. an Easter egg Sunday morning and she almost ate the entire thing. Of course, she wouldn't eat her cereal afterward but hey, it's one day. Later that day we dressed her up like a little doll and headed over to my sister's house for dinner. Everything was delicious and it was great spending time with the entire family.
I mentioned to hubby on the way home that he had been pretty quiet. But as I said it, I realized my family just talks so much that there's not much room for anyone waiting for a respectable pause in the conversation to add their two sense. As soon as someone finishes their sentence (and sometimes not even then) someone jumps in with something to say. And this is how it goes the entire time. I think it's kinda great because there's always someone to listen to and interesting conversations to follow. Then again, if you're not in the mood it can be overwhelming. And if you're waiting politely for your turn to talk, you'll never get a word in edgewise. You really have to seize a chance when you see it!
This explains why I'm pretty quiet (most of the time) and why I'm so smart (most of the time)! You tend to learn a lot when you keep your mouth shut and your ears open!
Wishing you all a great day, whether at home or at work.
Sometimes it's hard not to be shuch a big mouth. Let the Big Guy know I'm sorry if I didn't let him get a word in edgewise. Which i pretty sure I didnt.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to our parenting conversation while the kids were at the park but I'll let him know you said so! I'm sure when it's one-on-one it's all good!
