Vistaprint to the Rescue!

There's snow on the ground again! I'm sure it won't take long to melt but it was kind of jarring to see it there this morning when we got up.

I had a headache when I woke up. I hate it when  that happens. I guess I didn't sleep well; either our mattress or my pillow isn't doing a good job or I was having too many dreams. Normally I would have a cup of coffee and two Tylenol's for good measure but alas, no coffee for me.

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:1; 16-18)

Meaning: enough moaning and groaning about my coffee! Besides, it only makes the feeling of longing worse.
Tonight I am going to church for a meeting with some people about the publicity for our parish's 50th anniversary. I have offered to help in that capacity because it's something I know I can do and I like to think I have a bit of creativity when it comes to these things. My friend AD just informed me this morning that Vistaprint has small banners on promotion for FREE. I'm hoping we can order a bunch for church. I grew up with the family motto: "If it's free, it's for me!"

After the meeting there will be Mass and then a Lenten talk given by our newly installed Bishop. It's kind of a big thing to have your bishop visit your parish. He's a seriously busy guy and you have to nail him down months in advance with his secretary. I've never heard him speak before so I'm looking forward to seeing what he's like. Unfortunately, our babysitter couldn't make it so hubby will be staying home with Jr.

Wishing you all the enthusiasm, the confidence, the energy and the patience you need for this Hump Day!
