Jr. woke up at 11:30pm last night screaming bloody murder. I don't know why she woke up like that. Maybe it just took me awhile to wake up and by the time I did, she had reached a crazy pitch? Anyhow, I popped the soother back in, caressed her head and she was out. Then at 2:30am I wake up to hear music. "Wha...?" It was that stupid toy of hers that goes off by itself! I have been very good about remembering to turn it off when I'm tidying up the play area but last night I forgot. So hubby and I were both woken up to a jazzy rendition of "A, B, C, D, E, F, G! H, I J, K, LMNO, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V! W, X, Y and Z!" I'm surprised Jr. didn't wake up too. Hubby stumbled out of bed and turned it off but not before accidentally turning the volume up instead. Ah, toys.
Okay, so my first letter:
Dear Best Friend (a.k.a. hubby),
Even though sometimes I'm frustrated with you, even though sometimes I'm mad at you, even though sometimes we don't see eye-to-eye, even though sometimes I'm distracted by the day-to-day grind, even though sometimes I'm so tired I forgo our movie night, I love you. I know how blessed I am to have a best friend like you. You're a great listener and you give sound advice. It's great knowing we share so much in common and that whenever something interesting happens, you're the first person I want to tell because I know you'll understand. It's great that we're different, too, because I've learned a lot from you. I respect you and your thoughts. Thanks for being my best friend and for putting in the effort to keep our friendship going these past 10 years and in the future. I hope to share many more adventures with you, many more laughs, many more years.
Your Best Friend
What a wonderful and touching letter to your hubby!
