Just Plain Creepy...

     My sister has been giving me some of her kids' old toys. I don't know where she got this LeapFrog "Leapstart Learning Table". It sings, it plays music, it shouts out colors in a singsong voice...

Cool, right? Jr. seems to like it okay but it has one drawback: going off by itself. My sister warned me about this but I forgot. The other night at around 1 in the morning, I woke up to hear "RED!" "GREEN!" "RED!" Trust me when I say it freaked me out before I realized what it was. The time before that Jr. and I were reading together in the living room when it went off suddenly and sang the alphabet! Jr.'s head whipped around and she just stared at it, like she knew it wasn't supposed to go off by itself. And now, I just put Jr. down for a nap and it is randomly playing songs like "We'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain" and "The Farmer in the Dell."

     So if you plan on buying one of these for yourself or if you're planning on buying one of these for someone else, please remember to turn it off when not in use! Otherwise, be ready for an outburst at any moment!
